OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAndrea Scagni is an Associate Professor at the University of Torino, where he teaches statistics, data analysis and simulation methods in various masters degree courses. He was a member of the Quality Evaluation Committee of the University of Torino for 6 years (1999-2005). In that role he has promoted, developed and reorganized quantitative data monitoring as a key tool for better University governance, with a specific emphasis on teaching activities and job perspectives of graduates. In 2004-2005 he was the first in Torino to jointly analyze Almalaurea Data and University data and publish research based on them. His recent research activities have combined the practical expertise on university performance evaluation with the analysis of social inequalities in schooling careers, and are published in books and journal articles. Recently he has also been studying and working on topics related to environmental issues and sustainable mobility, with specific regard to the mobility of university communities. He is at present the coordinator of the Sustainable mobility working group for the Green office of the University of Turin.
